As an occasionally estranged family prepares for yet another annual Western Wisconsin deer hunting season, they could not have known so many lives would change, and end, forever. The nefarious plans of eldest brother Mason Owens are dashed by an unknown hunter, known only as "Blue Eyes". When the dust jacket settles, a historic scene that sends shockwaves across history will become infamous fodder of campfire stories for generations to come.

Justice, as fleeting as the search for one's own self and twice as hard to attain.
