Butch history is revealed, from cover butch, musician, and Dutch Resistance activist Frieda Belinfante, to dapper blues singer Gladys Bentley, and including Manchu princess and fierce warrior Yoshiko Kawashima, this book is jam-packed with butch history and lusciousness. Artwork created by a community of LGBTQ artists, biographies written by Avery Cassell, book edited by Jon Macy, Foreword by butch scholar Sasha T. Goldberg, and discussion questions by Mills College professor Ajuan Mance, PhD.
